SAN FRANCISCO – The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) has released early registration for the new version 3.0 of the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) – along with an updated version of the Higg Index platform which it says is more user friendly – as it looks to increase large scale adoption of its facilities module.

The new FEM 3.0 is said to be appropriate for more 95 per cent of SAC member's apparel and footwear production facilities and also includes an update to its chemical management section which was developed in collaboration with the Outdoor Industry Association and the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Group. Jason Kibbey, CEO of the SAC spoke exclusively with Ecotextile News to share his views on the  new upgrades to the Higg Index tool.
