TIRIPUR – A textile dyeing unit in Arulpuram has been temporarily closed down for the fourth time over fears the unit may be discharging untreated industrial effluent waste into an unused borewell.
The decision was made following an inspection by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) which found the facility was in violation of the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) limits.
