MONTREAL – The International Airline Transport Association (IATA) says airline passengers created 5.2 million tonnes of waste in 2016, primarily from textiles and plastics. In response to the figures, airline hospitality manufacturer Galileo Watermark has launched a new range which uses packaging from reclaimed recycled plastic, which has been collected from oceans and waterways. The range plans to be part of a broader collection made from ocean recycled plastics and recycled textiles, the company says.
