Fashion brands call on Myanmar government to uphold rights

LONDON – Fashion brands and trade associations from Europe and the United States have called on the Government of Myanmar to respect the rights of ethnic minority populations of the Rakhine state.

16 organisations, including Ethical Trade Initiative, Fair Labor Association, American Apparel & Footwear Association, and the Foreign Trade Association, say they have raised concerns in a letter to the President of the country, along with Government ministers.
