Bacteria to clean up textile waste

HONG KONG – Researchers in Hong Kong are working with TAL Apparel to develop bacteria capable of cleaning up waste water produced by textile factories in China and Southeast Asia.

The company says it is in response to the Natural Resources Defense Council report that said China’s textile industry produces three billion tonnes of water per year.
