BEIJING – The Collaboration for Sustainable Development of Viscose (CV) has passed several new resolutions and its membership has agreed to align on both short and medium term action plans at its latest plenary session in Jiujiang, China.
Last month, Changing Markets Foundation published a report which hit out at the viscose sector for a perceived lack of clarity, transparency and the will to drive meaningful transformation of the sector in line with best industry practice.
In particular, the report claimed that the Collaboration for Sustainable Development of Viscose “lacks ambition” by not obliging its members to achieve certain standards recommended by the Chinese government or to align with EU BAT (Best Available Technology).
