BURKINA-FASO – Subindu Garkel cotton and textile lead at the Fairtrade Foundation talks to Ecotextile News prior to a recent Fairtrade-organic cotton event in Burkina Faso, which was supporting the West African sourcing coalition with a focus on Fairtrade.

Following the launch of a new sourcing model including mass balance options, it seems that Fairtrade cotton is now expanding again – although volumes are still very modest. Simon Ferrigno reports.
