HOUSTON – In what organisers describe as a “tumultuous period” for polyester, Wood Mackenzie Americas will hold the 2019 edition of its Polyester Conference to discuss both the challenges and opportunities currently facing the sector.
Wood Mackenzie states that the polyester industry is going through very a difficult time, caused in part by issues such as plant outages at a time of high demand, new government legislation and restrictions imposed by the China Waste Ban. This is all in addition to the tariff-inducing trade war between the US and China.
