SEON – Swiss mountaineering and hiking apparel firm Mammut has called on consumers to mend existing apparel rather than disposing of used garments – whether at home or via the company’s in-house repair service.
The Swiss firm states that long-term use of outdoor equipment is the easiest and best way to minimise its environmental footprint. While it acknowledges that damage can occur, particularly with apparel designed for outdoor sports and activities, there is still no reason to throw otherwise functional clothing away.
