LONDON – A report commissioned by the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) has suggested that business models are at the forefront of creating pressures on labour standards in global supply chains.

The report – titled ‘Business models and labour standards, making the connection’ – was conducted by the University of Warwick and King’s College of London’s Business School.  It found that aggressive price competition and a reliance on supplier sourcing models drive deteriorating standards for workers.
