PARIS – International luxury group Kering has published a new set of animal welfare standards, with detailed requirements for the treatment of cattle, calves, sheep and goats throughout their entire lives, along with guidelines for abattoirs.

Kering says that these are the first-ever set of full standards covering animal welfare for luxury and fashion, and with them it hopes to drive positive change in industry practices, ensuring and verifying the humane treatment of animals across the its supply chains.
