HAMBURG — Following a period of sustained expansion across the continent Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) certified 580,000 tonnes of cotton last year, representing a 17 per cent rise on the figures for the previous twelve months.

This means around 37 per cent of all cotton production in Africa is now subjected to its certification.
