BARCELONA – At the 10th annual Planet Textiles conference, held here in Barcelona alongside ITMA, Susanna Wilson, HSBC’s global head of sustainable networks and entrepreneurship outlined the integral role of the financial sector in the industry’s efforts to achieve a shift to sustainability.
“The truth is, no one company, sector or stakeholder group has the knowledge or capability to get sustainable change done on their own,” Wilson notes. “For me, the critical point is that financial institutions must be part of the picture. There’s an opportunity for change, and it’s going to take collaboration to grasp it.”
