AMSTERDAM — Dutch denim brand Mud Jeans has announced that a joint investment totalling €1 million will be made in its operations to support the production of jeans made from “100 per cent old jeans” by 2020.

The capital, provided by DOEN Participaties and the Sustainable Economy Participation Fund for North-Holland (PDENH), will enable the firm to develop a pair of jeans made entirely from existing denim products — a goal which has always been on its agenda.

Mud will also look to use some of the investment to expand its reach into Scandinavia, France and the UK.
