BRADFORD – Yorkshire-based textile firm HDWool has received funding from Sky Ocean Ventures, as part of the latter’s goal to reduce micro-plastics in the ocean. Additionally, Sky partner and Government programme Innovate UK is providing complementary funding to the company in order to support further product development.

“To have two partners that not only recognise the potential of HDWool, but share the values of performance and environmental responsibility, is a really exciting step forward for this business,” said the company’s CEO Jo Dawson.

Outdoor brands such as Marmot and Finisterre have utilised the polyester replacement materials in their clothing ranges.
