Paris. France’s capital is synonymous with fashion, and is now also inseparably associated with climate change: courtesy of the Paris Climate Agreement. Increasingly, the lawmakers who occupy the city are combining both the city’s fashion reputation and environmental clout to produce some of the world’s most ground-breaking legislature.

The latest measure to follow this trend will make it illegal for unsold non-food products to be disposed of, and has now been officially proposed to the French parliament. This law is said to possess the capacity to divert €650 million of waste from landfill or incineration every year.
