NEW YORK - A new platform has been launched to help fashion brands ensure the manufacturers in their global supply chains work in an ethical and sustainable way.
The THR3EFOLD Ethical Manufacturing Platform was launched in beta after nine months of development by THR3EFOLD Founder and CEO Jessica Kelly at New York Fashion Week.
It enables brands to connect with ethically-certified factories around the world, compare pricing, manage production and even find out how other brands rated dealing with them as suppliers through Airbnb style reviews.
Kelly said the inspiration behind the platform was a research and development trip to India where she encountered "really incredible" factories which were almost impossible to find online.
