GENEVA – Leading figures in the global cotton industry have converged on the Swiss city of Geneva for the first ever World Cotton Day.

The event is being held at the World Trade Organisation’s headquarters following a request by the 'Cotton-4' nations, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad and Mali, to the United Nations General Assembly to reflect the importance of cotton as a global commodity. Simon Glover reports from Switzerland.
