Haglöfs is seeking a CSR Manager to play an important part in contributing to Haglöfs’ continued success through helping to deliver Haglöfs’ sustainability strategy by managing and driving forward their social compliance programme.

Haglöfs AB is now recruiting a CSR Manager to the Product Department at Haglöfs HQ in Kallhäll, Sweden.

As a CSR Manager you will play an important part in contributing to Haglöfs’ continued success, helping to deliver Haglöfs’ sustainability strategy by managing and driving forward our social compliance programme.

Main responsibilities and tasks

The CSR manager will lead our social compliance programme ensuring the continuous improvement of supply chain standards.

Auditing and continuous improvement

  • Lead point of contact for the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF)
  • Coordinate audit programme in line with FWF requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers, factories and other brands to deliver long lasting improvements against the Corrective Action Plans
  • Work with FWF to address any complaints received through the worker complaint system
  • Plan and coordinate training and capacity building programmes at suppliers and factories
  • Onboard new suppliers and factories
  • Visit and meet with factories and suppliers to discuss progress against social compliance goals
  • Inform sourcing strategy with evidence-based assessments of supplier maturity and capability in areas of social compliance
  • Manage integration of lower tiers into social compliance programme
  • Maintain visibility of relevant local and international legislation, supply chain risks in sourcing countries, as well as the latest research on improving conditions for workers in supply chains
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve Haglöfs social compliance programme

Data Management and Reporting

  • Collect and manage factory level data across the supply chain e.g. audit data and factory ratings
  • Maintain the FWF database
  • Support data analysis and writing of annual reports
  • Coordinate data collection and preparation for yearly FWF Brand Performance Check

Other

  • Support for other sustainability programmes as and when required

As CSR Manager you will report directly to the Head of Sustainability and have regular contact with colleagues within the sourcing, buying and materials teams as well as with external stakeholders such as suppliers, factories, the FWF and other third-party service providers.

Skills & Requirements

Profile

We are looking for a person who aspires to develop within the area of CSR

To be successful in this role you should have/be:

  • 2-3 years relevant responsible sourcing/CSR experience, ideally in the apparel or footwear industry
  • Proven interest in labour rights, human rights and corporate social responsibility
  • Excellent IT skills with demonstrable experience in excel.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Willing to travel 2-3 times a year to factory locations

In addition, it would be advantageous to have:

  • Professional qualification in ethical trade, responsible sourcing, sustainable business or similar
  • Sound understanding of the apparel or footwear production supply chain
  • Familiarity with relevant local and international legislation
  • Experience of working and travelling within an international supply chain

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex sourcing challenges to a variety of audiences
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Thorough and reliable with excellent attention to detail
  • Good research skills and ability to collate data and information for accurate reporting
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines, with a strong project-driven approach
  • Culturally sensitivity
