WILMINGTON – The Lycra Company has secured certification to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) for two varieties of its EcoMade fibre, types 166E and 162E.
Textile Exchange’s GRS sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions for materials.
Lycra’s EcoMade, produced in Brazil, is said to be the company’s first branded spandex which integrates pre-consumer recycled content.
