MADRID – IKEA is to become the latest signatory to the United Nations’ Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action (UNFCCC) which aims to limit global warming to 1.5C.
The Swedish retailer earlier this week announced plans to invest €200 million (US$220 million) on becoming carbon positive by 2030.
It will sign a sign the new partnership agreement at COP25 in Madrid, the annual global climate meeting organised by UNFCCC, next month.
