HONG KONG – Clothing giant the Crystal International Group is to launch a recycling project to bring pre-consumer waste back into the loop to regenerate new denim.

Crystal's 'eco denim' factory, Zhongshan Yida Apparel, will launch the 'Second Life' project to recycle cutting table scraps into new denim in the second quarter of 2020.

The company says using recycled denim can offset the environmental footprint of virgin denim fabric production, particularly water consumption.
