METZINGEN – Luxury apparel brand Hugo Boss will donate A$100,000 to charity to aid efforts in Australia to combat bushfires which have ravaged thousands of homes across the country.

Since September of last year, parts of Australia have been ablaze due to record-breaking temperatures and severe drought. As the extent of the fires in Australia have escalated, so too has media coverage on the issue, with influential figures from across industry cropping up in a sign of solidarity.

Hugo Boss joins Kering – which donated A$1 million earlier this month – in donating to support firefighting efforts. It has also launched an Australia-print t-shirt, the profits from which will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund, and the WWF.
