LONDON - The Planet Tracker non-profit think tank, which aims to align the financial markets with sustainability issues, has received a grant to turn its attention to the fashion industry.

The recently-launched Laudes Foundation, set up by the Brenninkmeijer family - who own C&A - to continue and advance the work of the C&A Foundation, is footing the bill for the Textile Tracker project.

Planet Tracker says that, although the listed equities portion of fashion generates over USD 1.2 trillion in revenues, investors are not taking into account the ecological cost of the industry.
