GUJARAT – Garment manufacturers in Mumbai are considering flocking to the more rural state of Gujarat, with concerns growing of the spread of coronavirus in India’s densely populated cities.
According to the Garment Manufacturers’ Welfare Association, an estimated 1,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are contemplating making the switch, with Gujarat deemed an idyllic alternative due to its accessibility and reasonable proximity for most factory workers.
