PHNOM PENH – The Cambodia Labour Confederation (CLC) has held a meeting convening representatives from 60 local unions in a roundtable discussion of the financial difficulties facing garment workers throughout the coronavirus saga.

Delegates are said to have expressed fears that ongoing factory closures will exert even greater pressure on those in the lowest rungs of fashion supply chains.

Conclusions of the discussion are to be forwarded to the labour ministry in an attempt to raise awareness and drive efforts to provide financial support.
