NEW YORK - Retail giant Walmart has gone into partnership with resale platform ThredUp to sell secondhand branded clothing, footwear and accessories online.

The link up with ThredUp, which bills itself as the world's biggest thrift store, marks the first foray by Walmart (WMT), the world's largest retailer, into the resale market.

Denise Incandela, head of fashion e-commerce with Walmart, said she expected to move to prove popular with today's more environmentally-conscious consumers, particularly millennials.
