WAKEFIELD – The year 2020 was going to be the big green year. It’s been five years since the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the global textile industry had unveiled new commitments, targets and tools in a concerted effort to help limit temperature rises below the 2°C threshold.

Six months on from January, things may look very different now, says Ecotextile News editor John Mowbray, but he notes that evidence is already emerging that the post-coronavirus economic recovery strategy will be a green one – with climate concerns at its very core.
