YANGON – The government of Myanmar says foreign investor interest in the country’s garment manufacturing sector remains strong despite the huge financial hit it’s taken throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) is endorsed by 178 foreign enterprises, with a large portion keen to prioritise investment in apparel manufacture due to its labour-intensive nature and potential to provide more jobs.
