VANCOUVER - Environmental non-profit Canopy has marked World Rainforest Day by announcing that another 45 brands - most of them British - have joined its CanopyStyle initiative to protect the world's ancient and endangered forests.

UK brands including ASDA/George, Ted Baker, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s have signed up to CanopyStyle, as well as international companies including Bestseller and Ralph Lauren.

The 45 brands represent US$104 billion in annual revenues with US$94 billion of this coming from British brands who have historically played a pivotal role in Canopy's work.
