HANOI - Employers' organisations, industry bodies and trade unions have come together to agree a plan to help the country's apparel industry survive the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

A joint statement on the agreement was signed by employers’ organizations VITAS and LEFASO, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the national trade union VGCL who agreed to work together.

It notes the negative impact of COVID-19 on the country's garment and shoe industries and calls for an action plan towards a more sustainable industry.
