Director, Standards and Certification

The Director of Standards and Certification leads GoodWeave International’s Standards and Certification Division implementing in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. This position provides technical leadership and manages the team carrying out standards and certification system functions for the organization’s multi-country network to ensure supply chains are free from child labor and forced labor. The portfolio includes overseeing staff based in the US and South Asia and providing cross-functional technical leadership to field programs implementing supply chain inspection programs. The Director reports to the CEO. The position is based in Washington, D.C., with regular travel to South Asia. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well-organized, and adept at building relationships inside and outside the organization. S/he will have technical expertise in international labor standards, child protection, and international development or supply chain programming as well as policy development and compliance. S/he will possess a commitment to GoodWeave’s values and work ethic.
