MANCHESTER – Fast fashion retailer Boohoo has vowed to “act decisively” when the results of its third-party supply chain investigation are published, having had its reputation tarnished by links to unscrupulous supplier factories in Leicester that pay workers just £3.50 an hour.

At the start of the month, Boohoo appointed Alison Levitt QC, the former head of law firm Mishcon de Reya, to oversee the investigation which will shed light on whether the allegations against the Manchester-based brand are well-founded.

It’s said the results will be published four months ahead of originally predicted, with an update set to be provided alongside the firm’s half-year results on 30 September.
