PHNOM PENH – A new three-year project launched by a coalition of NGOs in Cambodia will support women in industries like garment manufacture, as they strive to promote better governance.

The initiative, called Greater Young Women Empowerment in Decision Making and Accountable Public Service Delivery, aims to improve public service delivery and will serve a tech-driven platform that empowers women to be involved in decision making processes.

At an official ceremony cementing its launch, partner NGOs outlined their backing of the Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Union to empower female union leaders to take action to increase the participation of women in trade unions.
