HONG KONG – Fashion brand The R Collective has launched a new 20-piece upcycled clothing collection which is made-on-demand, enabling customers to choose the style, size and fabric type before it’s produced.
The ‘Refashioned’ clothing range, which features wardrobe staples like dresses and trousers, becomes the first globally to be issued the newly-launched Upcycling Verification Program, from certification authority SGS.
Christina Dean, founder and CEO of the company, said: “Now is the time we must act to reduce waste. “COVID-19 let fashion’s previously rather hidden waste story out of the bag. Businesses and consumers are looking for solutions. The R Collective responded by pivoting our supply chains and mode of retail to give our customers what they want and when in order to avoid waste.”
