NEW YORK – New research questions the UK population’s awareness of fashion’s social and environmental impact, as indicative findings show that fair worker wages, raw material selection and chemical usage during apparel manufacture are of little importance to consumers.

This perceived lack of understanding amongst Brits also came across when later asked what additional sum would they be willing to pay to attain a ‘sustainably-made’ version of a garment.
