GREENSBORO - Textile manufacturer Cone Denim has launched a new self-cleaning denim which rarely needs washing thereby saving water as well the release of microfibres into the environment.
The Self-Clean Jean has been developed by Cone Denim in partnership with Noble Biomaterials, a global leader in antimicrobial and conductivity solutions for soft-surface applications.
It makes use of Noble’s 'Ionic+' technology which embeds positive ions in yarn fibers to inhibit the growth of bacteria and microbes on the fabric which remains clean and odour-free, reducing the need for frequent washing.
