BRUSSELS - Global business association Amfori and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) have teamed up with 16 leading companies across Europe to fast track gender equality across supply chains.

Zara owner Inditex; its supplier Aletex; Germany company TriStyle which owns Peter Hahn, Madeleine Mode and Long Tall Sally; Dutch lingerie brand Hunkemoller; workwear brand Fristads Kansas; Swedish fashion chain Gina Tricot; Danish fashion brand Masai; and ethical clothing company Save the Duck are all involved in the project.

The companies will benefit from access to the WEPS Activator, jointly led by Amfori and UN Women, through the project which aims to enhance their impact on gender diversity and inclusion.
