GLOBAL - Retail giants John Lewis and Debenhams, along with luxury brands Prada, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, are 'failing' in their commitments to responsible viscose sourcing, according to a new report.

The study, from the Changing Markets Foundation, Clean Clothes Campaign, Ethical Consumer and WeMove.EU, ranks 100 fashion brands on their policies and transparency on responsible viscose production.

Entitled Dirty Fashion: Crunch Time, it rates ASOS and Marks & Spencer as 'frontrunners', while John Lewis and Debenhams, as well as luxury brands Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Miu Miu, earned "failing" grades.
