MILAN – Luxury fashion group Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) is piloting Digital IDs for garments, which in theory would encompass product-specific QR codes linked to online data of their contents.

For now, the concept is being tested on select items from the latest Mr P. branded collection, with the view to rolling it out across YNAP’s entire portfolio next year.

It comes hot on the heels of the group’s new sustainability strategy, Infinity, through which the company has pledged to work towards a more sustainable and inclusive circular fashion industry by 2030.
