NEW YORK - Fashion brand Karl Lagerfield has banned the use of exotic skins such as those of snakes and crocodiles from all products in due to fears of diseases, such as COVID-19, passing from wildlife to humans.

Animal rights organisation PETA immediately welcomed the decision which comes after Lagerfield banned fur from its collections back in 2019.
