AMSTERDAM – The ZDHC Foundation has tweaked the latest version of its manufacturing restricted substance list (MRSL) to align with bluesign, updated its MRSL candidate list and phased out the self-declared conformance level 0 on its ZDHC chemical gateway.

New limits on certain trace chemicals associated with denim indigo dyes have been proposed along with more stringent limits on PFCs (perfluorocarbons) used in water repellent textiles.

The move comes as efforts to harmonise chemical management within the global textile supply chain continue to gain new traction.
