LONDON - Electronics company Ricoh Europe has agreed a deal to market sustainable printing and dye manufacturer Farbenpunkt's innovative new textile ink, PeractoJet, which aims to reduce the industry's environmental impact.

The partnership means that Ricoh Europe's customers now enjoy access to US-based Farbenpunkt’s technology which claims to deliver more than 90 per cent savings in fresh and wastewater use, as well as halving energy use and eliminating emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Peracto Technology textile ink, which can be used for both apparel and home furnishing applications, also reduces costs by removing the need for high water and energy consuming pre- and post-treatment stages, saving up to twice the cost of the ink, according to Farbenpunkt.
