YANGON – The European Union (EU) will double the finances made available to support garment workers in Myanmar, as the country’s workforce continues to be hit hard by the ramifications of COVID-19.
The EU is making an additional €5 million (US$6m) available via the Myan Ku fund, which has helped facilitate aid for more than 60,000 workers thus far.
