ASIA - Six major garment producing countries have come together to launch an initiative calling for better purchasing practices in the fashion and textiles industry.

The project has been launched by the STAR Network which represents nine trade bodies from Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Pakistan.

Representing more than 60 per cent of the world's apparel manufacturers, they aim to reach a common position on buyers' purchasing practices, especially payment and delivery terms.
