LONDON – Waste recycling charity WRAP has launched a best-practice guide for fashion retailers on how to deliver effective take back schemes for post-consumer clothing.

The charity expects in-store take back schemes to undergo a renaissance post-lockdown with many people storing their unwanted items at home until restrictions are lifted.

However, WRAP says many consumers are currently unaware of take back schemes, with data showing that only two per cent choose this route to donate their unwanted clothes.
