AMSTERDAM – Dutch textile manufacturer Byborre has partnered with environmental organisation Parley for the Oceans.

Byborre has said that by leveraging consistent quantities of salvageable marine waste “we can produce textiles and products on scale which demonstrate a near-circular, production and consumption cycle”.

The pair say they have “pushed the boundaries of material innovation to create textiles”, with the first fabrics they’ve developed using Parley plastics – intercepted on coastlines around the world – to create materials “for the next generation”.
