BELFAST – Northern Ireland’s Environment Minister Gordon Lyons has backed a new nationwide initiative which sets out to reduce the volume of textile waste sent to landfill.
The Forever Fashion campaign has been launched by environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, with funding from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), and urges consumers to explore resale, repair and recycling options.
Lyons said: “It is vital that we continue to protect our environment for future generations and this campaign is a great example of the work that can be done to contribute towards this.”
