AMSTERDAM – Dutch multi-stakeholder initiative the Denim Deal, which last year launched with the backing of 30 leading companies, has partnered with blockchain technology provider The Movement.

The tie-up will afford members of the initiative access to The Movement’s ‘Aware’ blockchain solution in a bid to boost supply chain transparency.

The Denim Deal was established in November of last year, and has tasked the likes of Mud Jeans, Scotch & Soda and Kuyichi with using at least five per cent recycled content in every pair of jeans produced, and to collectively create upwards of one million pairs of jeans with 20 per cent post-consumer recycled content each year.
