NEW YORK – The Fashion Makes Change (FMC) initiative, launched last year by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA) with the backing of fashion brands and retailers across the industry, has kick-started its first programme to support the education and empowerment of women in supply chain communities.

With the support of Versace, Jimmy Choo, Eileen Fisher and more than 40 other firms, the ‘Your Change Can Change Everything’ programme will look to generate funds via donations both from consumers and companies.

The proceeds will be piled into the Empower@Work Collaborative, a joint effort of United Nations’ ILO-IFC Better Work, BSR’s HERproject, CARE International, and Gap Inc’s P.A.C.E (Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement) programme.
